Anyone install tailgate light strips yet?

Has any been installed on these 2021's yet? I don't think they are as popular as they were. I was going to put one on my Ram but it was a bit of a wiring pain in the keister.

Can one be plugged in the 4 way trailer plug and have it function without the truck thinking there's a trailer connected? I don't want to start splicing into the factory harness.

They wouldn't work on a 2018 but my new one hasn't showed up so I don't know about a 21

Probably not blis seems to go wonky. Oh well. I just liked the extra lighting.
