Google 12v wire splicing. It’s not terribly hard.

what is the problem with wiring to the trailer connector? does the lightning think there is a trailer and do something bad?

hey fellas, anyone has done an install for a LED tailgate light in the Lightning? I bought this rigid bar (nilight 60" from Amazon) and was gonna do the install this weekend but noticed there are 2 protruding bolts where I was gonna put bar. The bar comes with 3M adhesive take so it won't sit flat on the bolt's head. Any ideas of how to get around that.

Let me know if you ran with that issue.

I installed the Putco bar on my XLT and it was Plug and play for wiring.

As for as the bolts protruding, there is another post on this forum where the bolt on right side tail gate stabilizer was exchanged for a flat head bolt. I haven't had any issues with bar staying in place.
