Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the auto tinting mirrors feature In forscan. I can't seem to find information anywhere one way or the other. I do not really care for this feature at all especially with dark tinted side windows.

I do not believe there is anything that can be done via forscan. All of the sensing and control functions are done by the rearview mirror itself which then controls the side mirror. I disabled mine by disconnecting the connector on the rearview. You can leave the connector in the mirror, but not fully snapped into place, no more dimming and no loose wires to deal with.

Wow good to know. Is there anything else that will not work by unplugging this?

Nope, just kills the dimming. No warnings, DTCs, or other side effects. That is the only purpose for that connector, power in and control out for the side mirror

I do not have the auto dimming mirror on my drivers side and would like to add that. Does anyone know if I just buy the mirror with the tint option, it will work? My rearview mirror inside the cab is auto dimming? On that same note, would anyone who has the dimming mirror and doesn't like it, swap for one without it?

I added power folding mirrors to my 24 Flash. The power Fold automatically have auto dim. The Flash has the dim rear view mirror. So When I was adding the power fold I was hoping to not have to run the wiring all the way to the center mirror because it is what controls the auto dim for driver mirror. Lucky enough the wiring is already at the door connector(C510) So I only had to run from the driver mirror connector to C510. Its two wires.

Edit.. To add the wiring diagram. If you have the auto dim Center mirror you can add the auto dim side mirror functionality fairly easily. Add the two wires from c510 to c521 and you will be all set

Can I just change out the glass portion? I don't think I want to pay that much for the folding mirror option

The wiring is not in the base mirror for auto dim so you would have to figure out the wiring aspect. Im sure its possible, but not sure the difficulty
