Best protective bed mat for your Lightning?

The Tractor Supply horse stall mats are the best made and the lowest cost bed mat. The truck bed mats with corner tabs are a pain to remove to clean out the bed of the truck and I have never needed a pad in the corners. With a regular bed mat I cut off the corner tabs before using it.

A 4x6 mat sells for $60 and can be picked up at a local store. The only downside is that these are heavy mats at 94 lbs for the 4x6 foot size.

I have used the same 48" x 72" bed mat in my Chevy pickup, a Chevy full size SUV, and now in my F-150. A quality bed mat can last many years and only needs to be thick enough not to deform when something is slid inside.

My 6.5 beds and my large SUV all allowed me to put two 10-speed road bikes inside while leaving both wheels on the bikes and with a camper shell they are out of sight and not likely to get stolen. My first truck in 1970 had an aluminum camper shell and curtains and I have bought many more fiberglass caps on my pickups over the years with curtains to block anyone trying to see what was inside. I have not have a break-in to the bed in the past 54 years so this approach works very well.
