Hi all,
Looking for confirmation here as I had originally connected all available Bluetooth and Wireless CarPlay options but have since removed (I believe, correctly) the ones not needed for my setup.
Current:
Bluetooth - one connection, showing last 5 digits of VIN and "F-150"
Assume this is the FordPass BT connection to the vehicle.
Previously:
Bluetooth - the one listed above plus the vanity BT name I had setup in Sync screen and when my phone was showing as a device in "Phones" (now deleted)
WiFi - forgot the iOS name but it was the wireless carplay connection that I deleted, also went into settings/general/CarPlay and turned off the slider that forces me to wired-only and have to unlock phone everytime I connect the USB connection to Sync.
Again, I believe this is as should be for my desired scenario but I felt I started expereincing FordPass app delays yesterday while locking/unlocking the truck and wanted to make sure that deleting the vanity-named BT connection didnt impact FordPass app, etc. I didnt' know if I could still utilize that BT connection but also disable phone call/audio from the truck via settings.
Trying to make sure that I'm not utilizing cellular via app only when close to vehicle (expecting BT).
Thanks for any insight here.
