California Deliveries

Unlike what Im seeing from others, my delivery date just moved CLOSER.
Timeline of events on 5/9 Build Date with Santa Rosa Ford

Truck was shipping (roughly 5/25)
No built or shipped update
Truck was in Illinois (2 weeks ago)
Email saying truck was built (6/23)
Email saying truck was shipped and expected delivery was 7/29-8/6 (6/25)
Photo of truck coming off the production line (6/28)
Delivery date changed to 7/2-7/6 (6/29)

I'm texting my dealer now for an update. Will report back.

Man would be nice if mine was on the same Rail as yours. I saw a train come through Barstow earlier today with nothing but Railcars.

Congrats! My Railcar is in NM now, so there is progress.

I just happened to be passing by the highway exit for my dealership today and saw a transport truck full of Lightnings nearby. This was in Redwood City, CA, the transport was on 101 South right before Whipple Ave.

I almost snapped my neck looking over. No updates on my app/UP Rail/Ford Website.

I'm not sure. My last official update was in the rail yard in Illinois. I'm scheduled to go to the dealership tomorrow evening for pickup!

That's a very good question. Another thread said that United Road does the deliveries from rail yard to dealer. I entered my VIN on their tracker (https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt) and indeed it shows my vehicle with destination being the name of my dealer, along with a "load number", but when I called United Road they said that the vehicle was "inactive", meaning that a shipment method from the railyard had not yet been assigned (which makes no sense given that it's in their system??). I emailed the dealer and he said they expect to take delivery of the vehicle "any day now". I'll check with him and see if it's something they have a say in or they're just waiting for it like me.

@frautumn - I've checked that United Road site before and my VIN never came up before. Just checked it now and I too have a load number and my dealer is listed. Do you think that means my truck is in Richmond? I tried to track my railcar and it just says it left Illinois on 6/26.

Not sure. Have you talked to Ford Chat lately? They should be able to tell you if it arrived at the rail yard.
