Lightning Lariat ER owner here. When I plug in one of my battery banks (sometimes called a "solar generator") into the Pro Power onboard ports, I get a ground fault error which trips the breaker. So far this has happened to my Zendure Superbase Pro (2kWh) and Ecoflow Delta 2 (1kWh). Is this normal and if so, how do I get past it? I've seen a lot of posts around ground fault errors and home power, but nothing for power banks. There must be a way to charge these with my truck, right?

Interestingly, I was able to plug in a power bank while my truck was charging via my home EV charger without a problem. I haven't had a chance to test this out more but I will once I'm back home.

Do you have loads attached to the generators while trying to recharge them with the Lightnings PPOB?

Huh - I hadn't even thought of that. If I plug the Ecoflow in with no load, it charges without an issue. My Zendure is currently powering my trailer so I can't unplug it at the moment but I'm guessing that it will do the same thing, and you know why :) - Why does it trip the GFCI under load and is there any way around it, other than playing wack-a-mole with my goes-intas and goes-outtas?

Stabbing in the dark, is it possible that one of your loads has a bound neutral / ground connection?

If no, then maybe your exceeding the PPOB 20A limits

I've got an Ecoflow Pro, I know that if you leaves loads in place, the pass through relay activates because it thinks the grid has been restored, and simultaneously charges the depleted battery and sends the remaining current to your connected loads.

Possibly you're reaching the limits of the PPOB 120v 20a output, try lowering the charging rate on the Ecoflow unit via your EF control app.

Yeah that was it - I unplugged everything from the Zendure and plugged it in to the pro port and it charged without issue. I guess what you're telling me is that there's no difference between the error for ground fault and the error for a circuit overload. Lame. I appreciate the help!
