Thought I’d share some real world numbers from this mornings very cold commute to the office.
It was -9F this morning. Truck sat outside all night plugged in and I had the charger set for 80% charge. Departure time was 0700 and I didn’t get in to leave until I was notified it was ready.
27 mile commute, mostly 2 lane 55mph roads with the last 6 miles on 70mph interstate heading into downtown. Cabin temp set at 70, seat warmers on low, steering wheel warmer on. You can see where the energy went.
Arrived at the office with 64% battery remaining and did the trip at 1.5kwh/mi. Will charge for free here at the office to 90% before heading home.
