I just bought a 2017 f150 2 days ago. When bringing it home l had to travel through S.F. on surface streets and encountering stop lights was becoming difficult because the brakes were so soft and there were several times l didn't feel l could stop in time for yellow lights (I'm not comfortable feeling I have to choose between speeding up to get through the light or risk stopping in the intersection - either can result in an accident or a ticket and l prefer to avoid both). This got worrisome and I wondered if l had just made a big mistake buying a used truck (most all of my personal driving has been in fords for many years and I've never felt as if l was stepping on a clutch instead of the brake until now). The next day l decided to try adjusting the pedals closer to me before going to a mechanic (l also had to readjust everything else). The change in the brake response was huge. Applying the brakes now feels normal and l don't feel as if I'm unable to stop in time for lights or other situations. This is my first experience with power adjustable pedals and l wondered if anyone else has experienced the difference in brake pedal travel(soft as opposed to "normal") based on how you adjust the pedals.

Seeing as this is the 14th gen forum, it's probably best to find another forum that has members who are actively driving around the 13th gen vehicles.

I can say that with the 14th gen, I have no such symptoms when adjusting the pedal depth.

Thank you for pointing that out, I missed that when l signed on. Good luck with your 14th gen.
