Dealer ownership changed - deposit refunded?

Got this email today. Anyone else have this? Seems the reservation/order process is so convoluted already, this can't be good.

Nevermind... I did a search and didn't find anything. But as soon as I posted this a "recommended" thread came up with the same issue. These forums search features are so terrible. But I digress.

Things will settle out, your reservation is still there and will go to the successor operation.

Same for me. The dealership ownership changed so the original dealership can't keep your deposit as they won't be delivering anything to you. The order is still with Ford and will be built and shipped. You just won't have the deposit deducted now from the order when it comes time to pay.

I had this happen and I got a refund of my $100 reservation deposit. Now I see the original $100 reservation deposit, and another $100 deposit listed on my order sheet - bringing my total down $200. Strange. I'll take $200 in free money, I guess.

This happened to my order, dealer ownership changed between order and delivery. I lost the ability to track progress through my Ford account, ended up having to track with my VIN. Got the deposit back and got the truck w/o issues.
