FCSP install without HIS

I’m waiting for my FCSP and have been digging into the install guide. It’s lacking clarity….

if I only want to install the charging side, do I need to hook up the DC side, or is that still needed to charge?

You don't hook up the DC if all you want to do is charge. 2 hots and a ground.
