Morning All, I'm soon(ish) to take delivery on a 2022 Powerboost, XLT/FX4 and super stoked! This will be my first F150 so I'm learning tons. I don't think the truck comes with fender liners and I didn't see an option on the web to include Fender liners from factory. Did I miss them? Are they a pure aftermarket part and is there a recommended brand? Cheers.

Aftermarket and Ford both have them. Aftermarket is less $ I believe. I got he Ford ones as I was able to work some items into the deal. They seem fine to me, fit perfect and don't rattle that I have noticed...takes about 2-3 minutes per side...5 if your real slow.

They were an option tha tyou could have ordered with the truck but my salesman told me to leave them off and he'd give them to me after the truck arrived for the same price. He said they would delay delivery if installed at the factory (ha ha ha I wish that was the delay I was waiting for). Anyway, I've installed the Ford version on my last three F-150s and it is a very easy install.

Best thing to do is use the Ford Pass points you receive at purchase and buy at the parts dept.

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. My sales guy told me to skip the Ford spray in bed liner for the same reason, it delays the build. Said they would send the truck out on delivery and get it done, same price. I'll ask him about the liners too. Appreciate it.

I would also have the dealer install anything else you might want to add. Mud flaps, bug deflector, install the bed tie down hooks if your truck comes with them. Get your own aftermarket floor mats though. The dealer can also get you front side window tinting as well, so your truck is ready to go when you pick it up. Paint protection can be dealer or aftermarket, depending on the costs and level of protection you are looking for.

Ford's rear wheel well liners were in my build. Considering my order to delivery was 3 months, I don't think the liners contributed to delays. They look really nice, I'm happy to have added them.

I bought and installed Weathertech mud flaps...they feel durable, fit and look great. $80 wasn't the lowest price for aftermarket but less than Ford's.

Nothing lost not ordering from factory. Aftermarket options are cheap and easy to install. I personally went with Husky Liners for mine. I had to do some light trimming on the passenger side to avoid rubbing on the shock but nothing major, Dremel tool made a 2-min job of it. Total install was about 15 mins/side after fiddling and making sure everything was lined up properly.

I also used most of my 40,000 FordPass points on the Ford "Molded Splash Guards" from the dealer, installed myself. Dealer wanted $110 CAD to install, which is a joke. Took them home and got all four done in half an hour.
Front: Splash Guards - Molded, Front Pair, Carbon Black, Without Wheel Lip Molding
Rear: Splash Guards - Molded, Rear Pair, Black, Without Wheel Lip Molding

I bought my truck off the dealer lot and it didn't have liners. I bought Husky liners. They're a great fit and very easy to install. I can't remember what I payed for them.

@3DogKnight, when you installed was there any drilling/cutting involved or is this just a bolt-on to factory holes kind of install?

Thanks

I didn't have to do any drilling because the Husky liners use the same holes as the factory liners but I did have to cut it though. The passenger side shock was touching the liner so I trimmed about 1/2 inch off with a tin snips. Very easy install and took me less than a half hour.

I got the Ford liners since they have a 15% off promo on accessories right now. Install took maybe 10 minutes, and most of that was getting everything to the truck and then getting a different ratchet/socket. No trimming needed.

Thanks both, that's great to know. Won't pay for that one to be done, will do myself!
