So I bought my truck brand new back at the beginning of October 2024. Early November I had installed a 3CH Dash cam and hardwired it for parking mode and accessory power cycling. (Fuses utilized were fuse #37 - (Not used - Spare) and Fuse #4 also (Not used - Spare) both 20A) but had constant 12v power to the dash cam. Around the same time the dash cam was installed periodically (and I mean once every few days) I'd catch a very brief scent of burnt rubber. Driving habits were nothing out of the ordinary - speed limit and slow lane. Shortly thereafter if the truck was parked for the weekend I'd get a notification on the Ford Pass app notifying me of "Electrical System Drained, Service Required" message, it'd start occurring once every couple of days (truck was driven daily, so the 12v LVB should have been charging consistently) but then the error would start to occur more frequently (now I get the error once every 4 hours the truck is parked). So for the sake of science, I disconnected all the fuse taps and reinstalled the OEM fuses to their appropriate locations (they're spare slots, so I figured if nothing is running off the fuses, pulling them shouldn't result in messing with any control modules) just to see whether the Dashcam was in fact the culprit for draining the 12V LVB. Even after disconnecting the electrical system drain error occurs about the same rate. Recently in the last week I snagged an OBD reader to utilize FORscan and see what kind of DTC's were being thrown by the truck. One DTC that kept popping up for the Front Hatch Control Module (FHCM) which I thought was interesting because my physical button to operate the Frunk on the exterior of the vehicle had stopped working completely about half way into December. So dreadfully I reached out to Ford to schedule an appointment to have them take a look at it. After describing the issue to the service advisor, he said that the f150 lightnings have had ongoing issues with the FHCM and that there's an active recall for it. My account and vehicle details show no active recalls or CSP's which the service advisor also confirmed. So, my appointment is scheduled for this Friday 1/10 @ 07:00 and I will update with any further information. But just know that if your frunk is experiencing issues (we have 3 in our fleet currently, 2 of which are experiencing issues with the FHCM (2023, SR Lariat and my 2024 ER Lariat) that it's an ongoing issue and that for later models (2024) a recall/CSP has not been issued yet. Ford Service said it can either be Hardware or Software related and they won't know until they look at it but I've heard nightmare stories of consumer experiences after Ford has had to make any modifications/updates to the vehicles software. I'd imagine since in my case the vehicle has an active short draining the 12V LVB that this will be hardware based and not Software related. As I said, will post an update once I know more.

Update to the original post. The Ford dealership within 2 miles of my office took a look at the problem that was going on with my truck. They reported that the FHCM had corrosion present, which was causing the electrical shortage and the physical frunk button on the exterior of the pick-up to stop working. Parts have been ordered and the FHCM will be getting replaced at some point this week. Shocking that for a brand-new truck with less than 10,000 miles on it. That a control module would have corrosion already present.
