FordPass Activation Tracking Tips

From what I have read getting a successful activation during the "in production" is hit or miss. My understanding is its based on the whims of whoever enters the truck with the prompt on the screen. Are there any tips for those that have gotten this to activate? Is it best to do it right away once available... or wait a few days or even a week?

Not sure I ever saw a rhyme or reason to it, seemed pretty random. And as I recall some people got disconnected even if they got connected in the first place. A few seemed to hold it the whole way and they got to watch progress in real time. Fingers crossed!

I think it’s totally hit or miss. Mine got activated and I got to watch it in real time… just sit.

Seriously was more stressful and not all that exciting except for the last day when it was headed down in a convoy.

I “heard” activating begins the 3 year free use period. Not sure what alls covered or not covered or what there is but I’ve tried activating been rejected, tried again and now waiting while the truck sits in Salem, Illinois. 867 miles from its future home.
