Went to the gym saturday morning and I usually leave my phone in the car so I don't get distracted. I walk out to go back to my car and the key fob won't do anything. I opened it up and pulled the battery and re inserted it, still nothing. My phone is in the truck so I use my apple watch to use the Ford app....I get "please open app on phone to continue.

So I go to my last resort and pull the key from the fob and open the door. Alarm goes off and I hop in to hit the ignition starter. Nada. I bang the fob on the center arm rest console for shits and giggle and sure enough I hit unlock and the alarm stops and I'm good as gold. The battery in theory i just fine because I tested it 20 times or so afterwards and all was well. Changed the battery just in case but was a minor annoyance.

Sounds like your phone caused the truck to be locked out. Turning off Bluetooth on your phone should prevent it if you leave it in there.
