Anyone drive from Houston to either SA, Austin, or DFW, or back with their Lightning ER? Think they are all around 220-230 miles. Curious your experiences, and if y’all do them without stop or if you make a charging stop on the way.

I travel from Austin to Houston, Dallas and San Antonio quite often. If you have the Ford or A2Z adapters, it's a no-brainer. Lots of Superchargers along the way. Best bet is to use the Tesla app or website to locate them. I have made all of those trips without stopping, but always feel better about stopping somewhere along the way to top off, just so I'll have a good reserve when I arrive at my destination. It usually only takes 30-45 minutes to charge, and that enough time to get a bite to eat, go to the restroom and catch up on email.

Austin - Houston via US-290
Usable Superchargers in Brenham and Waller, plus lots of Superchargers in and around Austin and Houston.
If no adapter, there is a great DC fast charger setup at Appel Ford in Brenham, and several Electrify America, EVGo and other fast chargers in the Houston area that have always worked for me. I like the EVGo fast chargers at CyFair Town Center on US-290. The PlugShare app and website is your best bet for finding non-Tesla chargers.

Austin-D/FW via I-35
Usable Superchargers in Jarrell, Troy, and Abbott, and many around D/FW and Austin.
With no adapter, I like the Electrify America fast chargers at the Walmart in Waco (Bellmead, actually). Again, PlugShare is your friend for locating them.

Austin-San Antonio via I-35
Superchargers in Kyle and New Braunfels.
I like the EVGo fast chargers at the San Marcos Outlet Mall, but there are many more along the way.
Quite often I will drive to San Antonio from Austin via the 130 Toll Road, and there is a great Electrify America setup at the La Quinta in Seguin.

Houston-San Antonio via I-10
Superchargers near Sealy and Luling.
I like the Electrify America chargers in Columbus and again, in Seguin.

Houston-Dallas via I-45
Superchargers in Madisonville, Centerville, Fairfield, and Ennis.
Electrify America fast charging in Madisonville, Fairfield, and Ennis.

Use the Tesla app and/or PlugShare to plan your trip and make yourself aware of the various charging options.

Yes, multiple trips - DFW to/from Houston - pre-Tesla access Madisonville or Huntsville EA charging with top-off's in the W Houston area. Recently Tesla charging Madisonville & Centerville with Tesla top-off Westheimer - easy-peasy.

Also DFW to Kerrville area - more of a challenge pre-Tesla with EA in Waco the only option & limp to the ranch with fingers crossed. Now with Tesla, multiple options and full-speed easy. I'm scheduled for June on the Tesla-Ford adapter, but got one from A2Z first of April.

Last week brought back a new-to-me 2022 ER Lariat I stole from KC, MO Ford dealer who thought it was an SR and priced it accordingly. :) Used the A2Z adapter to get back to DFW with a Francis Energy stop in Muskogee OK.
