How about getting that front license plate bracket off?

For you one-license state residents, how do you remove the front license plate bracket. Screws are off and, squeezing behind the top edges, I've managed to release the top of the bracket from the bumper. But I can't find the magic release of the bottom bracket section. Since I've now lived in 11 states - and the past is often prologue - I'd like to avoid breaking the damn bracket as 'never say never' and I might need it for a 12th state in the future. Suggestions would be welcome...and thanks!

Appreciate the link, Scott - thanks. But no, that's for an earlier version. I think the plastic bracket is simply 'captured' and needs to be deformed in order to be released, with no other fasteners involved.

Closing this out, for my '21 Lariat the bracket is 'captured' by 3 sets of plastic prongs. Left side, right side and biased towards the top in the center. A flat-edged screwdriver was the tool that worked for me in pushing those brackets aside and allowing them to release the bracket. The video Scott provided does relate to '21 F150's as well. I suspect it's for models that don't have the lowering front air dam, as that assembly prevents access to the back side of the grill as shown in the video.

Not entirely sure myself, but double check which way yours is mounted. If it’s incorrect, it may be more difficult to get off.

Here's what the front license plate bracket looks like for a 2021 F-150 King Ranch PowerBoost. It just snaps into place, and then you slide it UP into position. (Notice how the frame is cut out around the top, so it will slip up over the front bumper.)

I had to buy one because I bought the truck in Phoenix, but licensed it in Washington. The local parts man said, "that's never been a problem, because no one ever buys a truck in a different state." The bracket cost about $35. He had to know my VIN to specify the correct bracket. Apparently there are a lot of variations throughout the 2021 F-150 family.
