How does refund process work if I cancel my reservation?

I am no longer patient. I may be cancelling my reservation. Can someone tell me how the $100 refund process works. MY dealer is giving me a runaround. FORD tells me it is a issue I need work out with the dealer. Does anyone have experience on F150 Lightning Reservation Refunds? Thanks. Craig

If you haven't received an invite to order, you should be able to cancel on your reservation page and automatically receive a credit back to your card for the $100 deposit. Another option is to call Ford and request to change dealers. The $100 will be credited back to your card immediately after your dealer is changed. In fact, this is a good way to keep your reservation, in case you change your mind again, and still get your deposit back.

I ended up getting a $100 check in the mail two months or so after I signed for my Lightning. Guess we forgot to include that initial $100 deposit in the truck paperwork and the dealer sent me the refund when they discovered that on their end. I had totally forgotten about it.

I had the opposite issue. I switched dealers and got my $100 back on my card, then the new dealer included a credit for the $100 deposit on my buyer's order. The dealer had treated me well to that point so I let them know and it was removed from my order.

When you cancel, the dealer will refund the $100 deposit, which now has the purchasing power of about $89 compared to when you paid the deposit.

The refund process is perhaps the only process that Ford perfected.
