Infrared party inside the Lightning

Anyone else ever notice infrared lights flashing in the interior? I moved my Lighting to a spot covered by an infrared security camera and noticed a bunch of flashing in the interior in the security footage. It was triggering alerts in my home security system. Seems to be related to the modem being active as I can force it to start flashing by refreshing the page in the FordPass app. The flashing lasts around 70 seconds. Is all this flashing really necessary? Seems like a waste of battery power, but I guess having a visual confirmation that some communication is going on could be useful someday.

EDIT: I guess I should have used the Search feature of this site before posting. Seems like this is a known condition.

I see tons of IR activity at times too on my security cams and had to disable laser detection on my escort radar detector when running as that just went nuts.
