I was mostly concerned about hitting the cab or something else when drilling, so I pulled them out, drilled holes for the tubes and put 'em back in. Do you know if drilling through the plastic covers actually drains to the outside? It's hard to tell where they are in relation to the metal end of the bed near the cab.
