Parked outside today in near below zero temperatures for the 1st time. TPMS reported pressure was at 28. Filled to 35 and few hours later it is showing 30. Anyone else experienced this?

Tire pressure can decrease 1-2 PSI for every 10 degrees the temperature drops. I check mine before driving and add/decrease based on the cold PSI reading. I measure PSI using a regular tire gauge. The TPMS gauge can take a few minutes to read correctly.

Last week my tires were down to 32 PSI when the temperature got down to 34 degrees. I brought them back up to 35 PSI. This week the weather has been back up in the mid to high 50's and my TPMS showed them at 37 PSI cold and around 39 PSI after driving. I'm sure that I have it set pretty good for winter since the average high and lows for the next couple of months will be between 40 degrees for high and 20 degrees for low.

i get they fluctuate with colder weather. What I’m seeing goes beyond that. I filled to 36 and checked with my pressure gauge. The TPMS was reading 35. Now both are back to 30 after a couple of idle hours outside. I half expect them to be flat in the morning.

My winter tires would lose air over the winter. Would have a LTP error about every 2 weeks. They would be down about 10 PSI or so. Had the beads cleaned and bead seal applied. This did not cure the problem. Last year, one of the TPM's failed, and it was replaced. Now that tire doesn't lose air.

Long story short, have the dealer check around the valve stem for dirt or corrosion. That is what was my problem. Around my valve stems was a white powder that was letting the air out.
