Light bar for a tailgate with the step?

Hi,

Anyone found a good lightbar for their truck that has the tailgate with built-in step? They put that extra bracket right where they all seem to want to stick/attach and I’d love to know if anyone else has found a neat solution before I start creating more grey hairs making my own…

Did you install the tailgate light strip? I got one for a Christmas gift, and yes, the bracket and it's bolt heads are right where the strip needs to mount. I'm not even sure of the purpose of the bracket. It looks like it just indexes the tailgate from moving side to side.

I'm not sure what your concern is - I added the light strip and have the step. See pic with the light strip lit up here

Any update on this? I cannot find anything on what that bracket is for. It's not like we can go over it.
