Manufacturing Defect? Black Arrow on Rocker Panel

Hi Folks. Hey, does anyone have any ideas why this would be on my truck? I got to my truck before the dealer "prepped" it and I'm wondering why this arrow would be on there. Is this some kind of quality control process that didn't happen? Any ideas?

When mine was delivered with damage, they marked the damage like this:

Look underneath the truck for shipping damage. I had a car delivered and they scraped the pinch welds pretty good pulling it off the truck. Body shop was able to clean them up as it was only cosmetic and not structural.
