Sold my Mach-E for a F150 Lightning that I picked up mid January. I'm used to doing updates. Been early access on Mach E since mid 2021. Very familiar with the update process.

I noticed my Hands-free woudn't work and I have the outdated map issue. I called Ford for help and the first time, they told me the car hadn't been marked sold. Waited a week, still no updates. I see the download icon with check mark and touch it but it brings no details. When I go to software update, section it says I'm up-to-date. I called Ford again and talked to OTA and they said my car wasn't in the database. They see it should be and filed a case to get it added on the backend. Told me to wait 4 days to see if it worked.

Can anyone comment on what's going on? I see a bunch of people saying be patient but once you've had the new console it's hard not to be anxious and I'm absolutely dependent on BlueCruise..

Thanks!

The vehicle has to be marked as sold to receive updates?!? You've got to be kidding me.

What does your BlueCruise expiration date show in the Settings > General > About Sync?

I also bought a 22 F150 mid Jan 23, but it was "used" with 50 miles on it as I'm technically the second owner. It doesn't appear to have ever received an update, despite being delivered originally in Nov 22. I've also have a 22 MME GT in EAP, but it still hasn't received the new UI yet or any updates since 3.6.1 in early Nov. After driving both on the same highway on the same day, I was reminded that BlueCruise Handsfree never engaged on the F150 after it did for me on the MME. I found this thread and disconnected the 12V battery for a minute to see if that would fix BlueCruise for me, but it still shows an expiration date of 10-12-2022 (despite being delivered weeks after that date). I've made an appointment at my dealer to get this fixed and hopefully get the new UI, but I'm not holding my breath on them actually updating Sync. I'm now looking into getting the equipment and software to do my own FDRS updates as this random update patter just makes no sense.

I have an appointment this week for another car but may have to get them to work on this one too. Asked the selling dealer to check and they said it was current.

Mine is a 22.

In the same boat as you. 22 Lariat ER, picked up earlier this month new and it's way behind on updates and has never had a powerup. PaaK doesn't work, and bluecruise didn't at first - dealer had to perform 22P08 campaign. Right now bluecruise works, but my about screen is the same product, version and expiration date.

Going into the dealer tomorrow for remote start not working when it's cold out, will bug them to see what's up. Ford said it's up to date, but how can that be when everyone else has working PaaK, new UI, and all the powerups??

Keep me updated on y'all journey with the dealer. I have a recall to do this week on another Ford and may see if they can fit it in. Helpline told me to wait until Thursday.

Took it to the dealer last week. They still say the unit is up to date, but I still have the same version and bluecruise expiry back in october of 2022. They enabled PaaK, not sure how. Had a mystery update in the top bar when I went to leave saturday, but nothing on my phone and the sync console simply stated update successful. Using the backend of the ford site, it looks like I haven't had any updates pushed to my unit since november of last year. Called ford support and they say the update will come when it comes. I have a feeling my VIN is missing from some database.

Finally got 3.5.2! I bought my truck on 1/21 and got my maps updated on 2/8.

My symptoms were I would get a light grey download button at the top of the screen like my old Mach-E so I'm not new on how the updates work.. I would press on it and it would take me to updates screen and I would never see the release details.. It would say you are up to date on the latest updates and my app updates was always empty. I would get the download icon sporadically days apart. I called support and was put on the tracker list and told to take it to my dealer after waiting 10 days. My local dealer refused to look at my new truck at first because they said there were too many bugs right now to do an update and that it might be there for weeks or months. I had my 2 other Fords in the shop for some maintenance and tricked them into getting my truck. My dealer found a fault code with the camera (cmr) module but didn't update anything else (I don't think it's related to why I didn't get updates but they were shocked when I told them they didn't update my system). 2 days later, with my video camera running, I got 3.5.2 randomly after driving and not on my scheduled update time. Now I'm waiting patiently to get back to the new layout and iPhone integration.

Dear @Ford Motor Company , I work in OTA. Maybe you need to call me? Take a look around the web about the OTA experience. I was with the Mach E and early access since the beginning. Never experienced anything like this and had relatively good experiences except for losing my SiriusXM presets > channel 500.. Educating dealers how this all works and having handouts for them and consumers would go a long way to set proper expectations and customer satisfaction. I specifically asked my selling dealer to make sure my car was up to date. They checked everything and told me I would be good to go once I set up the Ford Pass app. It's not the best experience. I think there needs to be more transparency and education.

I drove 10 hours in my Mach-E with only me and BlueCruise to get my new F150. Absolutely love the truck. Didn't think I would like it as much as my MachE but it is awesome!
