2022 Lariat LR owner. Use thruway charging regularly from Syracuse to Kingston. Never a wait to charge. However, regularly find inoperative units. Can also find some charge stations right off Thruway eg at Denny’s in Herkimer NY. Get Breaky too.
They are sort of hit and miss - there are a lot of them though - so don't fret - just be sure you can roll to an alternate if you find one not working. My biggest complaint is not that there is physical damage to a given charger, but that the ALL the chargers are down in a given location due to "system outage". I charged fine on one day, and the next day all chargers were down - stuff like that
You can use the Tesla Superchargers at Turningstone (Rome, NY), Destiny Mall in Syracuse, not the old Superchargers at Del Lago Casino, not the Supercharger in Victor (outside Rochester). But at the same exit, head toward the Victor Supercharger and before you get there, there is a decent set of chargers on the right near Five Big Guys. You can use the Batavia Superchargers. South pf Buffalo, you can charge at the Fredonia Supercharger and the newer one in Erie, PA.
