Most of my traveling is done at 55-65 mph. I don’t go over that too much unless it’s downhill. I get average of 1.7kw and 220miles. Normally without camper I would get about 275 doing that speed. I’ll test out my KW again without the camper and probably make a video about that. I’ve never used that feature you’re talking about.

If I had to go with a camper it would be one like yours. Practical and removable if needed. Other options available not as practical. Looks cool. See this types all over town as daily drivers and who knows how much KwH we would lose lugging them around daily.

Thanks for reviving this thread, I have now suscribed to the OP's YouTube channel and look forward to consuming more content. We are looking at ultra-light travel trailers to tow to the coast, but this might be an option.

Two concerns is always fuel consumption and range as well as water. I go with 1/3 of the range to a location and 1/3 at the location and a 1/3 reserve to get back to a town. That is why my last two camping pickups had 36 gallon fuel tanks that provided a range of more than 600 miles.

A common mistake is to not appreciate that on trails the fuel consumption is measured more in hours of operation than miles driven. My vehicle may provide 20 mpg on the highway but only 12 mpg on trails.
