Painting or covering light blue Flash logo?

Does anyone have any experience painting, swapping, wrapping or otherwise modifying the flash logo that’s on the charge port door and the opposite side? tried to remove the one on the passenger side when I debadged and learned the hard way they’re anchored in

Would you just tape around the badges? I dont know how I could reattach them after removal lol

Yes. Mask off the area around the logo and start with a dust coat. Build it up with multiple coats, the more the better. After the last coat, simply peel the excess off and it will leave a blacked out logo

I have done this on several cars. I have not on my lightning, mainly because I updated my ford emblems with the black versions. the results are great and last for years in my case. My 21 Tesla MYP still has the one I did when I first got the car.

As previous poster stated, dust with many coats and wait about 15 minutes in between. I typically do 7-10 coats without issue. Pealing away is easier than it looks, but I would say ensure you pull away, not up or you have to start all over.

This one I did for the front, the website says it does not fit, but the front does as far as I can tell with mine.

One thing I would point out, not sure if anything else has changed, but I do have a 2022. I believe it is all the same, but wanted to call that out.

Thanks for mentioning the passenger side being anchored. I was planning on taking it off as well! Did you fill the holes or simply put it back?

I’m thinking of same thing but might wait to see what badges on “midnight” edition for 2025 job 2 looks like and order those badges - my guess that edition will all have black badging. - of course probably won’t be able to order them for a while so maybe I’ll just jump the gun.
