There very well may be an upgrade in development to add your phone as an ignition key or to use the CarKey/UWB features, but this isn't a leak or clue about that.

Is Keyless Entry UWB?

if true, it would appear if the car has comfort access it has uwb technology. i believe all 24 and 25 cars in the us have comfort access. again, i’m making this assumption based on a google search, i may be wrong.

This is good news, my Macan hasn't even been delivered but I already planned a work around for lack of digital key. If this pans out to be true, my work around will not be necessary. I bought Faraday bags on Amazon for $7.00 to keep the key fob in the car. I tried it on my other cars and it works flawlessly. You just put the fob inside the bag and close it. That will allow you to lock and unlock the car with the app even though the key is inside the car.

U can lock the car with the key inside without a faraday bag via the app.

Does any Porsche has phone-as-key? Maybe the problem is actually the app. Could be the App does not support it yet, it needs to be able to set up keys with the wallet.
Could be that the car already supports this nicely.

it does not - necessary hardware may or may not be present - we'll have to wait for any actual release/information from Porsche to know any facts

U can lock the car with the key inside without a faraday bag via the app.

How do you do it? It won't let me lock it with a key inside the car. Is there a setting you have to activate in PCM?

I eat crow. It WILL let me lock the car with the key inside. I'm happy enough with that, I just do not want to have to carry the key. If I can lock the key inside the car with the app that is good enough for me.
