"minor updates here and there. The previous update we forgot to enable brakes and various things like that you might want, so they are working again. Your experience may vary. Have a nice day. Please drive safely." (.......this is just a satire joke as their wording seemed kinda vague so I thought I could make fun of it.....not real)

“Apple CarPlay® compatibility will display on-screen turn-by-turn navigation in your instrument cluster”.

So this is more than the little arrow that indicates your next turn in the cluster? Anyone have pics?
It’s the little arrow until you get close to a turn. Then it shows a large graphic with a distance-to-turn indicator.

Huh. I have 2.1.0 and I don't get that. Just the little arrow.

Have other XLT 302a owners received the PowerUp 1.7 or 2.1 OTA updates? Just curious mostly, I haven’t been notified yet.

I just received Power-Up 1.6 OTA on 11/22/21. Well behind others, and really not sure what the update actually does, as I do not see anything new.

My build is below:

Build date 7/27/21
XLT Sport 4x4
302 High package
5.0L w/3.73
360 camera with tow tech package.

100% stock

I get the big arrows when i use the truck navigation not my phone's
That feature requires 1.7.1 powerup to display CarPlay/Apple Maps in the cluster

I received PowerUp update 1.6 on 11/22...... Now today... FordPass shows I received PowerUp update 1.4 on 11/25.. How am I going backwards in updates. 1.4 shows New Secure alert and pro power OnBoard improvements, Which I do not have on my truck. Is this a glitch in Fords OTA system?

Had the same thing happen this morning. Shows 1.4 today, and yesterday or the day before was 1.6. Haven't noticed any differences either way though.

It's normal. The updates are not sequential. They are just packages of updates for different systems.

Agree. Seems most, if not all, who have received these two updates got 1.6 first and then 1.4 later. #fordlogic

I get no notifications for updates. I don’t even know where to look in FordPass for the software version on my truck. Auto updates says they are on when I’m in the truck. But as far as I know, I’ve received literally zero updates since I’ve bought the truck. What the hell gives?

Right. The updates are actually module-specific, from what I can tell, and only one module is updated at a time. When my dealer printed out the OTA update history for my truck, it showed which module each release updated. 1.7.1 updated the APIM. 2.1.0 updated the GWM. No indication that a particular release updated more than one module.
