There are hundreds of posts on every EV forum about "wrong batteries" and all the other silliness and there are thousands of responses explaining how to stop worrying about the guessed range and just drive the vehicle. IMO, at this point in EV evolution, people who post about this aren't looking for solutions, they're looking to rant.
Exactly!

I think this is the bottom line. There's a lot of experience that needs to be gained and there will be new entrants to the EV world for decades who will need to gain that experience. Hopefully the tools will improve.

I agree with this. My problem isn't with people who are new to EVs. It's with the people who won't look for, read about, and engage with the experience and knowledge that's already been gained and shared--some of which was shared with them when they were in middle and high school. I understand that the forums have pretty sub-par search capabilities and that threads often go off topic, but the information is there.

I don't even have a problem with the people who ask the question. It's when people then argue that it should be different that it gets tiresome. Physics doesn't care if someone thinks it should be different. And the truck already exists in its current form, so it's not going to magically be different just because someone is upset with the design.

I think I’ll just drive my truck and not worry about it.
I think my next truck will have twice the battery size and I won't worry about it either.
