Hey all, been on a hunt to get all the rattles sorted out. The truck as a whole is great, but the drivers side door has had a few and there’s one left that I can’t figure out, was wondering if anyone else figured it out.

The two I think I already have sorted:

1. Whole door shifting causing a rubbing sound on the seals, resolved by adjusting the top of the door inward via the top hinge bolt.

2. Slight plastic door panel rattle, resolved by wedging a small piece of folded paper between the door itself and the plastic panel toward the rear of the door.

The last rattle is a weird one. It sounds like a fluttering kind of rattle and it only occurs when the drivers side window is between 50% and 99% closed. If it’s all the way up, or all the way down, the rattle doesn’t happen. I’ve already tightened the mirror and panel bolts under the triangular plastic piece toward the front of the door. It seems like it’s coming from the rear of the window seal, but it’s really hard to tell and I’ve had a hard time figuring out where to apply pressure to isolate it.

Anyone else? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I’d suggest checking the triangular trim piece at the front of the window. I had this on the passenger side. Fix is to wrap edges with felt tape so that it doesn’t make a noise when it wiggles. See below video, i had success by only doing the trim edge felt taping, not all the steps but YMMV.
