Yesterday attended a Drive Electric Week event with our Mach-E and Lightning. Our former dealer was their (the one that won't service the Lightning bought out of state). They brought an E-Transit, a Lightning, and a Mach-E. I know one of the guys (commercial sales), so we talked a bit (including the service issue). Anyway, here's the funny part. As it winds down, he waves me over. Their frunk won't latch. It goes down, and the latch is in the closed position. So they can't leave. They had played around with tools, and were stumped.
I tried the escape button, and while the latch made noise, nothing changed. After a few attempts, I remembered the inner release (which on the Lighting is a pull cord), and tried that. Latch moved repeatedly. Hit the button and it closed fine.
I said "tell ___ the Service Manager that I service vehicles no matter where they were bought". We all laughed, he said "oh, I will, believe you me".
