Spare Tire Size Confirmation

On my Platinum I just replaced the undersized alloy spare tire with a 22" Platinum OEM Rim. It fits easily into the spare tire well. So no longer have to deal with any mileage or speed restrictions that came with the undersized spare.

I had asked another member who replace his spare with a Lariat 20" Rim to match his wheels if it was possible with the 22" rims and he was uncertain. So now we know it can be done with no problem.

Maybe this was known before this post but I couldn't find that information so i took a chance.

Just curious...did you order the spare from Ford? What did it cost?

I actually bought 4 with tires from another member with the intent of using 1 as a spare. Rims were is really good condition and tires were all serviceable. So I now have 3 on the shelf in my garage Plus the original spare. If there is any interest in obtaining any one of these I’m open to offers. The Platinum Tires/Rims also have their factory installed TPMs.
For my truck when I need new tires I’ll rotate the Spare to a new tire and move the best tire in use to a spare.
