2024 Ford Lightning flash
In Winnipeg Canada they practically gave me my 23 Lariat standard range. It was less than the ICE version.
The 24 was the same. Lots of discounts but since they stopped making the Lariat SR I got close to what I paid when traded in. And still paid less for the flash than a similar equipped ICE.
The dealer listed my 23 at the same I paid. With 10k an 10 months use. Strange times we live in.

The three 2023 Mach-E GT PEs that have been on my dealer's lot (sent as stock, not ordered) for the last year-plus are now even less of a bargain than they were six months ago.

There used to be a 14k incentive to help move them off the lot. They still didn't sell, literally no interest in my local area for these cars.

But now the 14k incentive has dropped to 6k....but you can get the 24 model they also have, that's cheaper than the 23's they've still got on the lot because it does have the incentives.

Same thing is happening with 23 BRaptors. Ford cut 23 incentives and dealers with leftover 23s are having to eat the losses because 24s are cheaper with the 2024 incentives.

I'm glad Ford isn't allowing these dealers to have a get out of free jail card and throwing incentives at older 23s that they should have sold months ago.

Ford definitely has a pricing issue. Broncos are sitting on the lots and many have $8-15K discounts.

Perhaps someone can educate me. Do the dealership "buy" their vehicles that they sell from Ford or are they assigned vehicles that they sell. Or some mystical combination of both? I would think if an individual ordered a vehicle from Ford, that the receiving/"selling" dealer would get a standard amount or % of profit that would be predetermined in a contract by Ford and the receiving dealer.
Another question or two while I am typing. Is there various levels of EV dealer service, like a tier one, two and three or is it an all or none type of thing. If all you need is your tires rotated, any dealer can do that but if you need some one to figure out why your truck won't power up and has to be towed to the dealership, that's a whole nother matter.
Is there a directory of dealerships that work on EVs/Lightnings?
