I just got mine done for the 3rd time, what do we do? The dealer says this is a recurring issue and Ford doesn't have a solution.

Happens every year. Seems to be when I go to the snow and get my car washed or if it rains.

I don't want to have to pay out of pocket next time when I'm out of warranty in 3 months.

Is this a lemon, class action lawsuit, recall (again).

Mine has been good since the 2nd time it was replaced. The first time it was replaced with the same faulty part, but the 2nd one was supposed a fixed version of it. It's been about 2 years now with no leaks.

This time yesterday, I would have said I had the exact same experience. However backing into the garage last night I could tell might lights were flickering. I immediately got out to scope out the light bar and exactly what I feared. Major condensation in the light bar again. 😥 Luckily I'm still barely under 36k miles.

I have the exact same question. Having to pay for this out of warranty will be a very upsetting ordeal when it is obviously still defective.

Go Pack go!

Hopefully we can leverage the internet and collective experiences to know the true situation.

Maybe the answer is we need a new tailgate?

Glad you caught it.

Did you wash the truck recently? Wondering if high pressure water was the culprit, not that it should matter.

I’m on number 5. Only PITA I have experienced with the truck. Know that EVERY time the Bar is replaced, I carries a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty regardless of vehicle warranty.

Hey Guys. My rear LED went out last night. Is it covered under warranty?

Are you within your original 3year/36k warranty? Have you had the recalled lightbar installed?

Thanks. I’ll call my dealer rep on Monday!
You'll probably have to bring the truck to the dealership to get the replacement going.
I scheduled an appointment last week just so that they can get it ordered. They don't have the part in stock generally. The service advisor told me they have to document the issue by taking pictures and connecting the car. And then request approval from FORD.

My dealer told me 24 month regardless of vehicle warranty. Something we should probably both dig into to see who is right. Luckily number 4 for me just got replaced at the 35,700 mile mark so it didnt matter but if I was at 36,001. I would not be covered under a 1-year replacement part but would be under a 2-year.
