Do the stock 18" wheels fit flush or are they recessed a bit? Assuming equal wheel width of 8.5" how much less backspacing is needed to get a flush fit? If stock is +44 and I want as flush as possible what's the ideal backspacing to look for in a 8.5" wheel? I know a wider wheel affects things so I'm just assuming equal wheel widths.

This Method 316 wheel has a +18mm offset and is 9" wide so I'm thinking it will push out
(44mm-18mm)=26mm +
((9"-8.5")/2)= 6.35mm
= 32 mm compared to stock.
Is that flush and if not how much poke is it?

Look up Wild Willies Customs on YouTube. It’s a dealer custom shop that builds a whole bunch of F150s with various wheel/tire/lift setups. Should give you a decent idea

26mm is approximately 1 inch more than stock. Depending on the tires that you choose it may give you less chance of rubbing on the knuckle or crash bars. I am not an expert though

Here is a pic of my stock 18. They don’t poke on top but they do show some tread.

Can't wait to see it. I like the stock 18's more than I thought I would but I'm still looking for a replacement. I'm not crazy about gloss black on wheels.

Well I did my best, I do really like the stock wheels, but I had a vision of my “build” before I bought it, and I’m doing the level and tires anyways.
I tried to put pressure under that control arm but it was hard to get realistic compression..
