I‘m amazed it took so long to get a high speed CCS charging station! Previously there was a 50 kw at the Dunkin Donuts, but it has been out of service for a long time. In a city of over 100,000 people!, Lakeland is on intersate 4 between Tampa and Orlando, need more than one CCS. But one is better than nothing. They put in the back of Bank America building with horrible access. You have to go thru the old drive thru tellers that is closed.

That describes the El Centro, CA CCS as well. It's a necessary stop between Yuma and San Diego. I skipped it on my first trip to San Diego in my MachE and barely made it to El Cajone.

B of A parking lot, 1/4 mile from any convenience store (a hell of a trek when it's 115F+ in the summer), and it's one with minimal bathrooms access, and what's there is not well kept. Why are the travel stops not fighting to host these?

I guess it’s all in how you look at it, but I used it last week (drove over to Tampa to see one of the only two Cybertrucks in FL), and thought it was great! Very close to I-4, lots of commercial establishments nearby, and so new, the building permits were still posted. Had an awesome charge, too: added 25kWh to get home on, in 10min of charging- 167kW peak! (and my SR pack isn’t supposed to be able to charge that fast…)
