Midnight Delivery Inspection List:
*Try and take your vehicle for a test drive prior to signing!!!*
1. Check to make sure you have the right engine LOL This also includes checking to make sure you have the right trim! **
2. Ensure all engine fluids are at correct levels.
3. Ensure ownership, insurance and license documentation are present.
4. Ensure license plate is affixed!
5. Avoid picking up vehicle in rain or inclement weather as this can hide damage. Vehicle should be clean!
6. Check to make sure paint is accurate & exterior of vehicle is free from major dings/damage
7. Check for spare tire and road side service equipment (i.e., jack etc.)
8. Check body panels, ensure gaps are correct/similar between panels at the very least.
9. Check operation of all hinged trims/panels (Wipers, glove box, doors, tailgates, hood, rear seats etc.)
10. Check operation of all exterior and interior lighting.
11. Check operation of all interior accessories(i.e., Sunroof, outlets, USB/USB-C ports etc.)
12. *While on a test drive, check to ensure smooth operation of drivetrain and cabin noise (turn off radio until time to test sound system).
*Note any discrepancies from normal operation and don't be afraid to discuss with dealer.
**Your partner may find your giddiness and need to explain every detail of your new purchase/optioned trim annoying so keep smiling and tone down the excitement - just a bit - just while with that person
Please feel free to add to this. The other thread went off on a tangent so let's keep this about your personal experience with your 2021 or things you check for!
