Dealer:
"You are number 2 on our list with a high probability of receiving a first wave invitation to order. That first wave of invitations is set to go out in January and we should have the ability to place the order right away."

No bribe, not a loyal customer, other than I test drove a Mach E last Feb, and didn't treat the salesman and staff like dirt.
... And presumably you placed your reservation very early, which is likely how the number 2 spot is derived, not how much your dealer did or did not like you.

Will dealers know this month how many allocations they are getting?

I was notified that I was #1 in the priority list... Which will be interesting if I am not #1 in delivery... Knowing that they have over 100 reservations and would have the ability to bump people, I am not sure they would bump the first few even if they can. My first question to them when I go to pick it up will be... "How many have you guys delivered so far?" And while if I was purchasing a Lariat extended range it may take longer than a XLT etc... it would be telling if I ended up #25 in deliveries. I specifically asked in an email if they would be using dealer priorities for loyal customers and never received an answer, so I assume they are. Now I need to see about that electrical work for the Pro Charger...

Dealers have no say what number you are in line at that dealer, apparently that will come from Ford based on Timestamp and Date of Reservation unless the dealer sends them the list. This is all according to my dealer when I asked what place I am in line at the dealer. This is good news for those of us who switched dealers, we dont go to the back or front of the line.
I'm sorry, we know this is not true. It could end up being true, but there is certainly no guarantee of that. We have an example that is still playing out right now. Just take a look (at the Bronco process obviously). You're assuming honesty on the part of Ford and your dealer, neither of which is a given. Ford exists to satisfy their shareholders and their customers. And their customers are *dealers*, not you. They have made that crystal clear.

Allocation formula could change, to tilt the deck in whatever direction Ford likes. Your dealer could 99 your order, without you knowing for a while. Your dealer could "accidentally" order the wrong build for you, and it matches the build of someone willing to pay ADM--look at that, what a coincidence! You might try to switch dealers and find that Ford won't let you switch, regardless of what their press releases say.

Regarding polling over which version will be easier to get: Since battery supply is going to be one of the bottlenecks for Ford, I’m pretty sure they’ll prioritize SR builds. More trucks sold that way = more$.

May 19, timestamped 11 PM EDT. Learned from Cybertruck reveal, don't think, just reserve immediately, it's only $100 and it's refundable.

I was notified by my salesman that I’m number 3 on the list and that we will be placing my order in January. Sweet!

I would like to see a poll on here to get an idea of what every is going for. If 85% is going for the pro, then others that want the higher models may have a chance even though they are not first within their dealership.
I'm curious about this as well. A lot of chatter here and on Reddit seems to indicate many people are going for the Pro, with few of them even considering going XLT depending on how options shake out.

I feel like I'm in a small minority targeting the Lariat trim. I'd be interested in seeing this as well.

That definitely appears to be the case, haha! I feel like for people who need the "truck" portions of the truck, the decreased payload isn't justified for the additional cost, and those who don't mind paying for features just doesn't see the value in what you get over a loaded/optioned Lariat. The only thing that I really want from Platinum is the seats.

My small dealer only has 4 reservations. Is 5 the minimum allocation or can it go lower?

I'm going off what Ford sent to dealers on how this order process was going to go. If you dont have an invitation you cant order. The invitation is coming from Ford based on date/time of Reservation.

I am just talking about place in line, not whether you will get your order first or get screwed by the dealer once the order comes in. That's a different story and everyone here already knows that the game is.

I am the same way. I am going platinum due to the nicer seats, better stereo, and a few other things. I dont like the 22" wheels - would rather 20" as standard.
The truck will be my daily driver, but will also be used around our farm (getting rid of garbage, towing a trailer of hay, picking things up, ect).
We have needed a truck on the road for a while but the cost of insurance to use it a few times a month is too high, and the price of fuel to daily drive is too high as well. I want the luxury since I am able to afford it. I sat in a platinum ICE F150 at the dealer and I love the materials used. By the time the Lariat is optioned to what I want, it isn't a big difference to jump to platinum anyways.

I am also going to the Lariat, no sense in spending that much coin on an EV without the luxuries unless you are really doing nothing but work.
