I am also going to the Lariat, no sense in spending that much coin on an EV without the luxuries unless you are really doing nothing but work.
Exactly, this will be my daily driver and used sometimes for home improvement runs. I want this to be comfortable to drive.

XLT for me. I more interested in payload and towing capacity than in creature comforts.

That definitely appears to be the case, haha! I feel like for people who need the "truck" portions of the truck, the decreased payload isn't justified for the additional cost, and those who don't mind paying for features just doesn't see the value in what you get over a loaded/optioned Lariat. The only thing that I really want from Platinum is the seats.
You will also get less range with the Platinum due to larger wheels and higher curb weight.

May 19, timestamped 11 PM EDT. Learned from Cybertruck reveal, don't think, just reserve immediately, it's only $100 and it's refundable.
Yeah that was my thought too. Only $100, nonrefundable. Nothing to lose. I watched the reveal and just went for it. Now I'm definitely glad I did.

My dealer reached out to me this afternoon and said I'm on the list. They're have 20 priority for MY22 lightning and unsure about full allocation as of now

I just got an email from my dealer asking if I was ready to order in January as they are creating a priority list. I said hell yes I'm ready! That being said I'm a mid June reservation so it would take them prioritizing me to get in on the first wave for sure, but who knows maybe they don't have many reservations? Fingers crossed!

Any idea (guesses) as to how many trucks a major player like Chapman may be allocated for MY22? I reserved with the first 24 hours and they confirmed I'm in the 1st 50 spots, but I'm only interested in the pro model, so I'm sweating over if I really have a shot or not.

Chapman had over 160 reservations I would expect since they got cut short on Bronco allocations they may only get 25 or less for the 2022 MY. As an early reservation who switched over to them they told me to expect to wait until 2023+.

25 might actually be high. If 2022 production is in the ~20k range, and there are ~3000 certified EV dealers between the us and Canada, that is only ~6-7 trucks per dealer if they are spread evenly.

I agree with this, I bet realistically larger dealerships get 15 or less and smaller ones get like 5. I have chalked the 2022MY up to a beta test to make myself feel better.
