  1. What are the chances: Ford shoots national F-150 Lightning commercial in neighbor’s driveway

They probably need all the advertising now as they are realizing with the price increase and no tax credit people are canceling in mass.
  2. Ford made the news in BC (Canada) and not in a good way.

But the fact on the EV truck is to save on fuel prices and maintenance. It does not make financial sense to buy it when it almost exactly the same as an ICE F150, but is almost 50% more expensive. For EV vehicles to become mainstream and be the only vehicle sold, the price will have to come...
  3. Ford made the news in BC (Canada) and not in a good way.

There was no "invitations" in Canada. The dealer knew their allotment and submitted orders according to that. I was #6 out of 12 allocated and I got pushed to a MY23 with a $11,000+tax price increase. Same day I ordered a different vehicle instead that should be here in about 2 weeks for about...
  4. Ford made the news in BC (Canada) and not in a good way.

It had to do with the fact that they put the order through with a $2500 deposit and then we're told later that they are being pushed to a MY2023 with a $10500 price increase. Yes vehicles go up in price, but a $10,500 price increase is outrageous... They are honoring the price for anyone who...
  5. Ford made the news in BC (Canada) and not in a good way.

Ford made the news today for not honoring the 2022 price when not building them and pushing customers to a 2023 model. Exact same reason I am not buying one.
  6. Moved to 2023 Model Year

I said screw it...Ford clearly doesnt care about Canadian orders so I will never buy a Ford vehicle after this from what they have shown. I ordered a 2023 Palisade Ultimate which is arriving at the end of the month. It cost $70k with taxes which is about half of what the lighting would have...
  7. New(ish) Delivery - Noticing some install blemishes

Not always bad...I bought a totaled 2011 Audi Q5 that I had to replace the dashboard on and strip the entire interior except for the door panels, front seats, and carpet. Drove it for 9 years before someone cut me off and totaled it. Had zero squeaks and rattles in the car. It all depends on who...
  8. Moved to 2023 Model Year

Nope, Canadians get no price protection. They raised the price by $10500 plus taxes which ends up costing almost $15k more. By the time I get a tonneau cover, spray in Liner, and install the charger the truck would be pushing $140k. Just because it is an EV does not mean it should be $40k more...
  9. Moved to 2023 Model Year

I love how the US gets $650USD off for the scales removal but Canada it is $350CAD... wtf ford? I have a few different reasons that I am no longer getting the truck (no price protection from getting rolled into a 2023 is the biggest reason)
  10. Weathertech vs Ford All weather liner tray

I have a 2023 palisade coming hopefully this month. I was just looking at various floor liners out there and from what I have read so far, tuxmat looks to be the most coverage and overall best mat. They arent cheap though. Ford screwed with my order so much (Canadian) that I am no longer...
  11. Possible Upcoming Reservation Forfeitures, then what?

I think ford may be underestimating how many cancellations they are going to have due to the price increase. For many it was already borderline too high when compared to an ICE version, and the $8500US/$10500CAD increase pushed it way too high.
  12. Canadian Lariat 511A price changes

For those wondering, here is the price change for the MY22 to MY23 in Canada. Also note, anything over $100k is subject to a 20% luxury tax on the amount over $100k as well. They are not price protecting even though an order was already placed last year so I am not going to take the truck...
  13. Took a Lightning Demo out today!

🤣 You drove the same truck that I drove on Saturday! I put my order through the MY23 conversion (had a MY22 order in but it got rolled over to a 23 even though I was 6 out of 12 allocations they were supposed to get). Ford won't honor the price on it which means the Lariat 511A with max tow is...
  14. 2nd Generation Lightning Prediction and Wishlist

How about a nicer interior and a MUCH cheaper price. No reason an EV should be over $30k more expensive than the ICE version when there isn't a whole lot of difference. Also, maybe it should have less power/torque to cut costs a bit. It is great to have the power this truck has, but it is not...
  15. MY22 Order Unscheduled Club

My dealer told me I was moved to a MY23 and get a nice $10,000 price increase (Canada) which means I am not going to get the truck as with taxes that would be slightly under $140,000 for the Lariat 511A. While it is a good truck, there is no way I can justify that price. Especially since I just...
  16. Customer Service Private Offer Canada

That is the American memo, I believe Canadian is different. I just talk to my salesman and he hasn't gotten an answer from Ford on whether I will be grandfathered for the pricing or not. If not it goes up $10k but he also mentioned that he may be able to sell it for less to me to even it out a...
  17. So...reserved 2 hours in...with reservation number...I'm assuming SOL on price protection?

I am in the same boat right now. If they are going to price protect my order I may stay with the truck, but I have been looking at other vehicles this last week and the Hyundai Palisade is on my short list. At $60k it is a $40k plus tax difference from a non-raised price which buys a lot of...
  18. So...reserved 2 hours in...with reservation number...I'm assuming SOL on price protection?

Worse is that I am in Canada. I ordered the truck and have not got scheduled for a build even though my dealer told me I was #6 of 12 allocations (i reserved 25 mins after the presentation started). I am phoning later today to find out but from other things I have heard on the forum the price is...
  19. My F150 Lightning Delayed from 2022 to 2023 model and price increased

This is not the first time I have heard this. If it is actually true, they will likely sell next to no f150 lightning trucks in Canada as the price jump between ICE and EV is now about $25k so it makes it not worth the switch unless you have a lot of money to burn.
  20. Customer Service Private Offer Canada

The person I talked to only said pricing was up to the dealer and wouldn't get any further than that into it. On a second note: does anyone's reservation page in Canada work? I haven't been able to access it for over 2 weeks.
