What did you order? Equivalent EVs, or other non-pickup EVs? This is a first to market product being the first mass produced EV pickup so their aren't other options in the near term, especially at this price. Equivalent products are similarly priced, the Rivian equivalent spec's lightning is basically the same price...
My dealer in Central NY told me I'm either 1st or 2nd with a 5/29 rez. They don't seem like they are 100% in the loop, and the Lightning specialist is definitely not an EV enthusiast so to speak, so take it with that grain of salt.
Not that I know of, I got a call this morning from my dealer, said I was the lucky one that gets to place an order. They said they needed to make sure they understood everything about the order process and then they would call me back to schedule a time to come in. That was about 2hrs ago.
That is pretty much what my dealer shared. He said he is checking in with his regional and will call once it is ready.

Plz do not cut me in line lol. I joke, I doubt I make wave 1, and I think wave 2 will have room for a few more. Looks like it won't affect build date much as long as you make the first several wave. I think you only will need to worry if you are ordering a low production model and/or don't make the first 6 waves.

Who are you with now that you are that far down in line? 46 is pretty far down for central NY. I was #1 in line for my Bronco, and that was a day 2 rez. Not much competition up here for whatever reason.

And by saying orders will open at the beginning of the new year, it would totally fit Ford's style to extend that to the end of January.My two cents is Ford never said PUBLICLY that the emails would come today. That was an internal document. I have worked in the corporate world 35 years and have seen the launch of hundreds of products. Very common that internal docs were circulated that a launch would be a certain day and it get called off literally last minute - usually due to an IT issue.
As I noted in another thread, the configurator seems wrong for the Base Lariat in regards to Blue Cruise. Who knows if there are issues like that being tweaked at the last minute.
Hopefully I just jinxed it and they will come now
