Thanks! I think this really helped me.

Have a job1 truck that has never gotten an update and followed this by hard rebooting twice. Re-schedule the update every day. Voila I got 1.4.0 on Feb 1st. And now have 1.7.1 pending on Feb 7th.

So this may help others out who aren't going the FDRS route yet.

When you say hard reboot, you mean a master reset or holding the power and seek buttons?

I just received my update was installed on Ford pass app last night
why does mine only say 1.4.0 ? seems like that's an older update?

I read about changing from auto update to scheduling an update. So last night I scheduled an update for 11pm and sure enough I received 1.6.0
So that was nice to see. I know Im way behind still but Ill keep scheduling the updates every night and see if they keep coming.

IF you have an iphone...

The "easiest" way, is to grab tonesto7's FordPass widget. It is great. Once installed, just go to Widget Settings -> Debug Menu -> View OTA API Info. You will see a bunch of great info, including the status of the last attempt to update. It does not give you individual module versions, but it will tell you the "Power-Up" version.

Anthony is currently working on v2.0 of the script which looks to be fantastic. Infinitely better than the "FordPass" app itself!

This is awesome info! As someone who doesn’t know anything about code, can you tell me which line shows me when the last update was attempted within the OTA API screen? There’s a tapps DateTime line, and a vehicle DateTime line. It’s gotta be one of those two, right? Also; mine says update pending state is null. Is that good or bad? Truck is currently on 2.0.0. Thanks!

Same here. Mine choked on 1.7.1 but no alerts or notifications. My updates and schedulers are in zombie mode. Fingers crossed we eventually get an update either OTA or thru dealer to correct.

Exactly the same here. Just checked with the ford scriptable widget and mine’s been stuck since 2021-12-24

You havent received any update I can see. You are stuck on a retry loop of 1.7.1

The situations seems that for most future updates to proceed the gateway needs to be up to date. So until you get things up to date youll be stuck where you are. You can either update yourself or just wait and hope

Thanks Jesse for the update…Do you think that I should take the truck to the dealer for help or just wait and see if the OTA updates issues are somehow resolved? The truck runs and operates fine and I don’t know all the new features/functions that I am missing out on…..Although, I would like the cameras to work at any speed…..Thanks, Ben S

So I got the 2.3.0 update yesterday- as I was driving 65 mph down the road! Cluster and info screen both went black for 15 sec or so. Freaked me out to start, but realized that truck was still running and responding. Cluster came back up first, then info screen. Then phone alerts me with "update successful'. Thanks Ford, but lets not do that when driving, lol.

Also after I restarted it to leave from work I get a gray alert box in cluster "Brake applied. Power reduced" for about 2 sec. From what I can find it means break and gas peddles were both pushed at same time, sometimes caused by floor mat getting on top of gas peddle. I will check this morning but mat has not be moved in 2 weeks....

Finally got the 2.3.0 update and my Xm radio is finally fixed. 3 months to get this resolved what a pain but glad it’s done. Now let’s see what the next update breaks.

Still waiting for 2.3.0 to install on my truck. It failed last week and says it's retrying. Not very confident it will install at this point.
