Bluecruise OTA Status?

I received an email from Ford early access that the dealer will be able to install BlueCruise on Friday.

Do you know if this is only for Early Access? Or will non-early access customers be able to go to the dealer, too?

And crickets from Ford. I think that pisses me off more than the inept engineers.

Over 7 hours spread over 2 days.. And I was starting from OTA 2.4.3, Some are stuck at 1.7.1. Or worse. Add a couple more hours if that is you.

After SW updates then some have to deal with configuration issues. Ford config forgets you have running boards installed. Me. Others have also had to tweak the configuration to enable cameras at speed. Mine worked.

I have no idea how Ford fixes those with OTA. I am closely watching for OTA Bluecruise update successes to see how those are handled.

Could you tell me where to look for the OTA version #...
Stopped at dealer and they couldn't tell me or find it either.

I like the sound of that - don’t have BlueCruise yet but very curious to know where it is going to work.

Not how it works. Never was never will be. Lane assist is anything with markings I suspect BlueCruise will always be divided highways.

What the heck is all this fuss about Bluecruise not working? I’m hoping they get the wrinkles out come June. Selling my Tesla for the Lightning. When I’m tired and get behind the wheel in Tesla, autopilot easily takes 75% of the stress off of driving tired. I’m guessing with Bluecruise, if it works, will be the same or better.

It’s only for cars manufactured before July 2021 (Job 1 trucks) anything made after works. A new Lightning will work. F-150 has always had an autopilot style system called a active assist (or something) which I haven’t driven AP which is probably similar but marginally worse. Lane centering works well but doesn’t do AP things like slowing for curves.

Quickest way to find OTA version is in Fordpass.

And Ford did release to the dealers a TSB to get everyone to Bluecruise. So now the dealer can't say "No updates available." Here is info:

OTA update Version # I'm on?

in FordPass app go to messages and if you did not delete it should have the version info
