My Lightning production is complete but not yet being delivered - per Ford

Did all of you at ramp 59 get bedliners? I believe when it goes from produced to received, it means that they have received the vehicle back from the off-site bedliner company. It's a separate company that does bedliners for Ford trucks.

Also, if it would have shipped, your teacher would show the built bubble checked with a date on it. That date is the day it was handed off to the shipping company.

May 17th went from Ramp 59 to "Delay Plant Hold"
I talked personally with our dealer rep from Ford today she promised me she would give me an answer.

F$@k!!!! I knew it. What can even be the delay? Why even bother opening up more order banks if you can’t fulfill your current orders @Ford Motor Company !!

Please post whatever info you can get Robert. Knew I should’ve placed that Tesla order at the same time.

The sent off-site comment is it going to the bedliner shop. I do know this to be fact, I've had several dealers tell me the same thing over my years of ordering from Ford. And have also seen it on forum comments too.

Yes, it’s a contracted Body Shop. Per my dealer rep, delivery is scheduled for Summer. Summer starts June 22nd

Did the Ford rep ever call you back? I actually called Ford CSC and the kid I spoke with said he has heard of no issues with parts and no known holds beyond this “Final Launch” BS. He couldn’t explain that.

I did get an update today from a 'high up the chain' person at Ford today.

They are driving each Lightning for X amount of miles, and quality checking every single truck before it gets released.
So expect a bit of mileage on your truck when you get to pick it up!

Hmmmmm…. Makes sense since some members who got approved for Ford Pass had a bit of mileage already on them

I'm guessing that they only do this for a few vehicles from each batch. Those vehicles would have a higher chance of having FordPass activated since they're being driven frequently. It will be interesting to see the mileage of the first few vehicles that are delivered.

This would correspond with the “final launch” most of our VV reports are showing as well! Perhaps the pending approval is just that, we are waiting for someone to sign off that the trucks are good to go. I’m ok with a few miles.

I've seen this a few times and personally purchased a car once like that.

When Tesla Model S was released, the first couple hundred had 50-120 miles or so on them from final testing and QA. By the time they got to number 1,000 or so, most of them were emerging with 24-26 miles new.
