Today my dealer mentioned the embargo from 6/29-7/31 and said some trucks that were already inbound managed to sneak by. Said they're expecting my truck early August...

I think some dealers are just not aware of things fully.

That embargo was on bnsf shipments to CA, ford sent them UP. So that specific embargo isn't applicable.

I just think there must be issues in the bay area that caused ford not to send out trucks there. They still sent the socal trucks to socal. Just not NorCal trucks to NorCal.

Have you gotten any word from dealer about when it should arrive or a revised delivery window? Some of the other 19th unloads have made it. Never been closer. Any day, any hour, any minute!

Not me. I have never heard anything from my dealer on status. I always have to call the sales manager. Usually, his info is wrong or not in sync with the latest we share here. He actually told me our train was still in Las Vegas waiting to come to NorCal. I had to tell him the truck(s) were offloaded in LAS and the train was empty and deadheading to Nogales. He said he would check and that was 2 days ago. I will bet you this forum will alert me of delivery before I get a call from the dealer.

I called and got a different trace for my rail car as well, but this is a trace for the rail car, right? Not for the truck so I am wondering if this is for a different shipment? Or did you get a new rail car number?

Yes, this is a trace for the railcar. I am using the same railcar number that I was given when it was loaded on July 12th. I never inquired if there was a new railcar number. I assumed that it would always be the same.

After thinking about it more, I am still confused about the released from hold at 5:25PM, July 28th. It is not yet 5:25PM on West Coast. Estimated time of arrival at industry, August 3rd at 8PM. Origin Ramp, Spring Valley Nevada. Has the railcar actually arrived in Las Vegas or will it arrive on August 3rd? Why is this so confusing??

I was told they can fill out exemption forms and get more vehicles in but they have to come by truck not rail

Hmm, that's interesting, By "they" do you mean Ford or dealers? Maybe some dealers are filling out exemptions and having them trucked from Vegas..Walnut Creek for instance.

Yep, I think this too, dealers also don't really care like we do, the sale is made so why should they do extra work...

Also, does ANYONE know if the truck that made it to Walnut Creek left directly from LV? was that a July 19th rail arrival?

I'm trying to figure out if this partial information scavenger hunt makes the process more fun or not. I'm trying to remember what I heard when I traced my rail car last weekend, something about it being empty and heading from LV to AZ. Now it says it arrived the 26th @ 4:54 pm and is expected to be at industry on 8/1 with an origin ramp of Las Vegas. Not even sure if I am tracking my truck anymore or something else. I guess we'll see.

I am in the same boat. I don't have any confidence that I have any idea where my Lightning actually is. I am just not good at this tracking.

By the way, my railcar number is TTGX697098, at least that is the number that I was told. Anyone who really understands this and can provide me with some information, I would really appreciate it.

My UP trace now says it's empty as of today at 5:35 pm. So I guess I'll wait to hear what happens to those of you who arrived earlier. Hopefully you start getting your trucks by this weekend.

My UP trace also says my railcar is empty as of 5:35PM. I am assuming that my Lightning has been unloaded and is waiting for a truck to transport it to the Sacramento area.

I am now thinking that the reference to "arrival to industry, August 3rd, 8PM is just the next stop for the railcar which is now empty. Given this, I am done calling UP trace . I hope to be better at this next time.

Now for the final leg of the journey. My vin never showed up in United Road website so I don't think there is any way to track it anymore. Now I just have to wait for my surprised dealer to call and tell me it's there.

Could be a great couple days for a lot of people. Many have been in Vegas for about a week now. If our forum sample is only about 5% of total orders and there is 5-10 of us that have arrived in Vegas. There could be well over 100 lightnings headed to norcal real soon.
