There are plenty of “I want it now and I have money” guys on the Bronco and Raptor forums who admit to paying ADM to shortcut the line.

Still waiting to pick mine up, but I know for sure my dealer slipped a few things in that they didn't explain and I didn't ask for.

$345 for "Maintenance"
$199 for Window Etch

They added $2,000 ADM when I ordered, and I didn't transfer the order to another dealer.
I leased F-150 in 2019, and the rep gave me a fair price.
That same rep was unavailable when I placed an order, and management pushed this ADM to the new REP.
I don't trust any dealer, so I decided to stick with the dealer I worked with.
Ay suggestion to get rid of this $2,000 ADM?

After your order was placed, did you sign a buyer's order ?

Once an order is placed, the order belongs to the dealer.

You are at their mercy unless you can convince them to drop the ADM - speak to the GM or owner/principal.

My Lightning was $0 ADM and no dealer junk accessories added.

Meanwhile there's no mention on that page of the $550 in dealer added junk (Maintenance and Window Etching) that were on the printed form that I signed in January... and NO MENTION of the extra $1000 deposit on top of the $500 Ford took on the website that they asked me to bring in when I placed the order.

In my case, that's $1600 down since the original $100 reservation last year.

This is exactly the kind of stuff that people hate about dealers.

I didn't have a pre-order/reservation, and was looking to get an EV pickup. The Rivians in the area were both expensive, and I was unconvinced would meet my requirements. SO, I was looking at 3+ years to get a truck...

I found a Lariat ER with tow-package, ATs, and Spray in Liner about 250 miles from me at a dealer at 46 over, did some minor negotiation and took it home immediately. It ended up being almost-exactly what I would have ordered (I likely would have gone red instead of Smoked Quartz, but I'm happy with the color, and I probably would have done the rubber floor mats, but I bought the weathertechs instead).

I realize I'm admitting I got taken a bit, but instead of waiting 3+ years for a chance to buy one, I had one early-July. I was able to finance most of it at a half-decent rate(4.75), and have a truck that i adore. I realize if I'd waited about a month, there would be a shot to find one in my area with less of a markup which haunts me a little, but the ~1400 miles I have put on it myself have all been absolutely amazing, so I regret little.

I found this copy that I signed (Erased personal information). Is this Buyer's order?
This does not mention about $2,000 ADM.
I told them to contact me when the vehicle arrived, and I would visit them to work on this.
I don't think the dealer would easily give up $2,000 ADM, which was already agreed on.
I hope that I can complete the purchase online, so maybe that would help.
Maybe contacting ford corporate would help??

I kept my receipts just in case they didn’t report them to Ford. From what I know they weren’t supposed to collect anything additional. The only payments Ford expected to place the order were the $100 reservation and the $500 deposit from the website.

It would be so much easier if everything was done via Ford’s website, so we know exactly where we stand. The website doesn’t mention the $550 the dealer added or the extra $1000 deposit.

That 2000 added to MSRP would show up on the online purchasing, from what we've seen with others working with it. Hopefully that isn't the case.

What is this "Window Etching" I keep hearing about? And Maintenance? What Maintenance could they have already charged you for?
