Anyone else here have Their truck being shipped right now to the west coast? My rail# is CN 712089 and hasn’t changed since I got it back on 8/5. (Old data about the rail car being released by customer on May 16th)

Have you asked Ford (either dealer or online chat) for your VVR? Your truck should go by rail to Blue Island, IL (Chicago area), which is where CSX and CNR transfer to BNSF. From there or should go on the northern line through North Dakota and Montana through Spokane and then down to Portland.

I also shipped on 8/5, my VVR last updated Wednesday that my truck has been released to BNSF in Blue Island, IL. BNSF doesn't provide any tracking to the public, so I don't expect to hear anything new until it's delivered to the Kent, WA rail yard, hopefully late this week or early next.

Have you asked Ford (either dealer or online chat) for your VVR?

When I asked my dealer guy last week all I got was “It's at dock 59. Which is in Dearborn Michigan. The sales mgr said its been wrong lately, it might have left there”

I’m asking him again today for an update.

It's very easy to get from the online chat, just pick the first option, "vehicle features" or something like that, and ask for the latest two primary and secondary statuses on your VVR for your order.

My dealer hasn't gotten back to me yet, but on chat I got the following:
"The latest status is In Transit  Received at Junction Point (Indiana Harbor Belt Rr Co ) in Riverdale, IL and the prior status was In Transit Arrived at Junction Point (Canadian National Railways ) in Riverdale, IL."

It sounds like it hasn't moved anywhere yet.

So you have left Michigan, and you are in Chicago. Your next status should be when you transfer to BNSF. My dealer mentioned that sometimes vehicles get stuck in Chicago waiting to transfer to BNSF for a bit.

@LightningMcQueenAlbany , ditto on @mastapsi356 ’s comment….you are well on your way! You’ll probably spend 24-48 hrs here before heading north towards Minn. and then west towards Spokane. Expect an additional 12-14 days to get to Portland Terminal 6 after leaving Chicago……

Finally went to Built on 8/17 after my blend date of 8/3. Got the email from Ford with an ETA to my Portland area dealer of Sept. 11-17 but we'll see how accurate that is. Now I get to obsess over tracking the truck and moving vacation time around so I'm there when the truck arrives!

Contacted Ford chat after calling CN Railways - CN would not give out tracking info. Confirmed that it was in Riverdale, IL yesterday, so I think it's Riverdale to Blue Island then I'll get a trackable carrier once it's handed off?

Nope, basically once you are in Chicago, it's a black hole until you get to the destination rail yard (either Spokane, Portland, or Seattle). You might see the handoff from CN to BNSF, but that's it.

Transit time from Chicago to the NW is between 7 and 15 days usually.

Got it, thanks. I guess I’ll go through Ford chat every day or 2 to see when it’s handed off to BNSF then give it about a week and start checking in on it again at that point.

Don‘t bother calling Ford Chat any more…your VVR will not update until it reaches Terminal 6 in Portland, or possibly your rail yard destination if it’s Boise, Spokane or Seattle after it leaves Blue Island.…the following is a copy from my log on my truck’s transit to give you an idea on what to expect for a timeline of events…YEMV…….
