Dealer just called me and said Ford contacted him to see if I was still interested in the truck. What?! Of course I said yes, but found it odd that the question is being asked at this stage. I’m at priority 1 now for what’s it’s worth, but have no idea of when I’ll actually receive this truck.

I believe it requires someone to click activate on the infotainment. Worth a try!

I gave it a try, but it didn’t work. They are just playing with my emotions at this point. Haha!

I'd bet good money Ford never asked this question. Instead, it's simply your dealer trying to see if they can free the truck up for a marked up sale elsewhere. Ford isn't selling the truck to you, so they have no reason to ask (and wouldn't route a communication with you through the dealer in any case).

That’s exactly how I took it. The call came in the evening which didn’t make any sense since I called that morning asking for tracking. Spoke to the same salesman who happens to be the only one handling the Lightning orders. Guy acted like it was the first time we’ve ever talked. His last words were “great, the truck should be delivered in a couple of months.” What the hell, the guy said a few hours earlier that his tracker showed a December 1st ship date! This whole process has been a pain in the ass and my interest is starting to fade over this nonsense.

I hear ya. Dealers suck. I had to change b4 ordering bc my nearest dealer was useless. Don't let them (or me!) color your buying decision. Play through.

No update on my vehicle, but I rode shotgun in a Lightning yesterday at the LA Auto Show. Wow, this truck is FAST! Too bad the Ford reps at the show were clueless about their own vehicles. I tested them and asked about what the vehicle colors were, and they got it wrong most of the time. Ha!

My dealer emailed me asking me for a picture of my license, Ford asked him to verify I am a real customer. I saw the email too late and he had already emailed me back saying forget it he was able to do it without the license.
