Relocate Front License Plate Holder.

Besides the ultrasonic sensor are there any other sensors in that area? Cruise control radar or anything else? I'm thinking of getting the Swarfworks and figuring out a way to lower it another inch or two.

I’m not sure if there are other sensors. I can tell you that Blue Cruise and adaptive cruise control worked even before I adjusted the mount to face toward its left side.

I just pre-ordered the new(?) model that supports 2021+ F150s/Lightning. We'll see if it clear the sensors better.

I had my Swarfworks mounted just like this before receiving my plates. Parking sensors only started going off after I mounted the plates. The license plate is only a few millimeters bigger than the mounting plate so it was bizarre. Had to position the mounting plate turned towards the driver as much as possible. That stopped the sensors from going off but doesn’t look the best. Emailed Swarfworks about it but no response. Might as well drill.

Darn. You're right. I just threw an old plate on and it triggers the parking sensors. I'm thinking I may buy some longer bolts and fabricate a 10mm plate to drop it down even lower.

Took off my front plate (dealer drilled through before I can tell him not too). Anyone know if this trim piece is glued and can be ordered to get rid of the holes?

cheap fix is just put 2 black screws into it

or take a large 1/2-3/4" drill bit and use it to take the slag off and no one but you will notice the holes.

After getting a ticket from the kind Chicago Parking Enforcement officer today for not having my front license plate installed, I am now needing to either drill into the bumper to install it or get something like these license plate relocation holders. Does anyone have a suggestion for one that is confirmed to not block any sensors?

I went ahead and ordered one, too. Fingers crossed they can get them shipped soon! I will be reaching out to them today to see if there are any estimates on when they'll be shipping, since there currently noted as pre-order. These ones definitely look like they should avoid the sensors.

Looking at the screenshots I think it’s part of the bumper. At least from ford. I wonder if @BestEvMod could make a replacement. It would be nice to cover this up as I also have holes from a front license plate that the dealer installed before I got the truck.

That's a bummer. I decided with our 2 new EVs to not install the front license plates (well, dealer put it on my lightning so I have 2 little holes that are mostly plugged by the plastic from the screws drilled in, I bought a few plastic plugs but they don't fit as is and I don't think I want to drill those holes larger just to fit those plugs) in NY so we will see how it goes.

I really loathe front license plates now, it is like a huge pet peeve of mine to see them ruin the look of the front of a lot of cars.
